Taking the IELTS in France

France is home to Europe's grandes écoles and several top business schools, and the IELTS turns up here for the same reason it does everywhere else: it stands between a candidate and university admission and immigration, particularly for the UK, Australia and Canada.

How the IELTS is run in France

The IELTS is about two hours and forty-five minutes of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, and the version we handle is IELTS Online, watched by remote invigilators. Because it runs on your own machine rather than in a hall, where you are sitting matters only for scheduling.

Registration still needs the same passport used at registration, so the details on your booking have to match the documents you hold.

What IELTS score to aim for
