Trustpilot took down our examinator.cc business page over the nature of the work, while the competitor that had taken $2,000 from a candidate kept its five-star page up (the whole story). And while ours was live, genuine customer reviews were removed one at a time as fake, usually because the account posting them was new (Trustpilot Removes Real Reviews).

Accounts are new because the subject is sensitive and nobody wants it attached to the account they use for everything else. Reddit works the same way: vouches come from throwaways, and comment histories here get scrubbed. When a competitor ran a smear campaign against us, the evidence survived only because we pulled the deleted comments back through the Reddit API.
