Taking the ACT in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai is the commercial centre of the United Arab Emirates, and the ACT turns up here for the same reason it does everywhere else: it stands between a candidate and undergraduate admission in the United States.

Some of the work we do here is not about admission. In March 2026 we published a note about clients in Dubai, Iran, Qatar and Iraq for whom a qualifying score was part of securing a visa and leaving a war zone.

How the ACT is run in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The ACT runs about two hours and five minutes across English, Math, Reading and Science, and it is delivered at a registered centre with in-room proctors at a registered test centre. There is no at-home version, so the work happens on site.

You will need a photo ID matching the admission ticket. Seats in Dubai are worth booking early.

What ACT score to aim for

The ACT is scored from 1 to 36. Most of our Dubai clients are applying to institutions like the American University in Dubai and several international branch campuses for MBA admissions and visa paperwork, where anything at or above 33 is competitive, and that is the range we work to.
