Taking the SAT in the United States
The United States is the largest destination for international graduate students in the world, and the SAT turns up here for the same reason it does everywhere else: it stands between a candidate and undergraduate admission in the United States.
How the SAT is run in the United States
The SAT runs about two hours and fourteen minutes across Reading and Writing, and Math, and it is delivered at a registered centre with in-room proctors, with the test delivered through the Bluebook app. There is no at-home version, so the work happens on site.
You will need an accepted photo ID, checked against the admission ticket. Seats in the United States are worth booking early.

What SAT score to aim for
The SAT is scored from 400 to 1600. Most of our the United States clients are applying to institutions like Harvard University, Stanford University and MIT for graduate and undergraduate admissions, where anything at or above 1500 is competitive, and that is the range we work to.
