TOEFL score format update (2026): why you may see 1–6 + 0–120

If your score screen doesn't look like the old "0–30 per section / 0–120 total", don't panic. ETS updated the score scale starting 2026:

• Official score reports use the 1–6 scale (0.5 increments).
• During the transition period, ETS also provides a comparable overall score on the 0–120 scale on the score report.
